Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 5, 2026

Hardpack Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the information you choose to give us — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information through this site.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collects certain technical information automatically when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system information, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through our hosting platform's built-in analytics and through cookies (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries, requests, and questions, and follow up on them;

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the website, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and technical problems;

  • Understand general site traffic and how visitors use the site, so we can improve it; and

  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Legal bases (for visitors in the EEA and UK). We process contact-form data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and, where you initiate a business discussion, to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract. We process technical and security data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving site traffic.

3. Service Providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract, and only as needed to run our business:

  • Squarespace Inc. — our website host and contact form provider. Squarespace processes and stores contact form submissions and collects site analytics data on our behalf. See the Squarespace Privacy Policy at squarespace.com/privacy.

  • Google LLC (Google Workspace) — our business email provider. Form submissions and any email you send us are delivered to and stored in our Google Workspace account. See the Google Cloud Privacy Notice at cloud.google.com/terms/cloud-privacy-notice.

We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.

4. Data Retention

We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a record of our business communications — generally no longer than three years — after which we delete them. Analytics data is retained according to our hosting platform's default retention period. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 6).

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our site uses two categories of cookies:

  • Necessary cookies, which our hosting platform requires to serve the site securely and to make core features work. These cannot be turned off.

  • Analytics and performance cookies, which collect information about how visitors use the site.

Analytics and performance cookies are placed by our hosting platform to populate our site traffic statistics, such as visitor counts and traffic sources. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we have not added any third-party trackers such as Google Analytics or advertising pixels.

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies, though blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working. For a current list of the cookies our platform uses, see the Squarespace Help Center article "The cookies Squarespace uses."

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to obtain a copy in a portable format, to opt out of certain processing, or to withdraw consent you have previously given. Residents of the EEA and UK also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@hardpacklabs.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures — including our hosting platform's encryption in transit and access controls on our email accounts — to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, our providers rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
